What it does — and what it doesn't
Your image files are read in your browser using the HTML5 File API. Standard JPEG and PNG assets are embedded directly into the document using the @cantoo/pdf-lib engine (MIT license) without re-compression. Modern formats such as WebP are decoded and converted into lossless PNG format in memory via canvas, respecting iOS Safari memory constraints. All processing runs entirely locally on your computer or mobile device.
Limits and browser boundaries
- Maximum recommended cumulative input size: 100 MB.
- Supports JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WebP image formats.
- Large individual images are safely constrained to mobile canvas memory limits (16,777,216 pixels) to prevent mobile browser crashes.
Verified Test Lab Measurements
Real numbers recorded in automated browser testing (docs/test-results/image-to-pdf.json).

Client-Side Privacy Proof
All computation executes strictly inside your device CPU and GPU memory. Your file bytes, photos, and document text are never uploaded or transmitted to any server.
Verify it yourself in 5 seconds:

Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded to any remote server or stored in the cloud?
No. Every image is processed directly inside your browser memory. No data is transmitted to an external server or saved in the cloud. You can confirm zero network requests in your browser Developer Tools.
Which image file formats are supported?
The converter supports JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WebP images. JPEG and PNG images are embedded directly into the PDF without generational quality degradation, while WebP files are rasterized in browser memory prior to embedding.
Can I change the order of the images before generating the PDF?
Yes. Once your images are added to the workspace, each item displays its position number, thumbnail preview, file size, and Up/Down arrow buttons. You can rearrange them into any sequence or remove unwanted images.
What is the difference between "Fit Image Dimensions" and "Standard A4 Document"?
"Fit Image Dimensions" sizes each PDF page to match the exact pixel dimensions of the source image. "Standard A4 Document" scales each image proportionally to fit onto a standard A4 page (595 × 842 points) with clean borders, ideal for printing and formal sharing.
Is there a limit on how many images I can convert at once?
There is no artificial count limit on the number of images. The tool is protected by a 100 MB cumulative browser memory guard to maintain smooth performance on both desktop and mobile devices.
What were the verified processing speed and file size measurements in the test lab?
In our verified test lab, compiling 3 multi-format images (sample.jpg, sample.png, and sample.webp totaling 238 bytes) into a 3-page PDF document (2,626 bytes) completed in 14 milliseconds with zero network requests.
